The proactive goal of synthetic micro fibers in Slabs is to arrest and minimize the formation of early age cracks [also known as plastic shrinkage cracks] during the first 24 hours of the concrete’s life. This is accomplished as the fiber is evenly distributed throughout the entire matrices of the slab. This 3-dimentional reinforcing network helps absorb the tensile stresses concrete undergoes during normal, everyday conditions – to include Temperature Shrinkage.
